On November 1, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a working trip to the «smart» city, where he familiarized himself with the work under way on its territory and with preparations for the autumn season of tree planting.

The Hero-Arkadag stopped not far from the site of the autumn season of the nationwide tree planting, where he was warmly welcomed.

After reviewing the level of preparation of the territory where this event is planned in the new city, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan noted that, as in various parts of the country, thousands of saplings are planted in the city of Arkadag every year. At the same time, preparation of the planting site and the choice of species are approached on a scientific basis.

As the Hero-Arkadag stressed, the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov attaches great importance to turning the country into a blooming garden, including the successful fulfillment of tasks under the National Forestry Program of Turkmenistan.

It was noted that ensuring environmental well-being and protecting nature are priority areas in our powerful state. Under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, the long-term National Forestry Program is being successfully implemented in the country, and extensive forest zones are being created.

«A tree is an adornment of life and existence. Trees give beauty to the world around us. Places where trees are planted have a beneficial effect on human health and the purity of the air. Planting trees is a high form of reverence for one’s native land. That is why planting saplings instils diligence and a great love of work in the younger generation. Every spring and autumn, mass tree-planting campaigns are held with the participation of our native people. Proceeding from this, during the ongoing autumn season of the year «Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses» we will all take part in the nationwide saplings planting campaign», the Hero-Arkadag continued, stressing that the Turkmen people have since ancient times regarded planting trees and caring for them as a noble cause. The wise sayings of the ancestors, such as «Bagym bar, barym bar» and «Bag – ekeniňki, ýap – çekeniňki», confirm the importance of creating gardens and park zones.

In the coming days, the Harvest Festival will be celebrated in Turkmenistan, and a nationwide saplings planting campaign will also take place. Making one’s contribution to such noble deeds is a symbol of great love for the native Fatherland, the Hero-Arkadag said.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people went on to note that the successful implementation of the state environmental policy is one of the main components in strengthening the principles of a healthy lifestyle. In this regard, preparation for the autumn season of the nationwide tree planting must be scientifically substantiated in all areas, which will ensure the creation of a favorable ozone environment in this corner of the country.

The Hero-Arkadag then proceeded to the construction site of the specialized foreign languages school and kindergarten in the new city. Noting that the mass planting of shade trees on the school grounds and proper landscaping of the territories adjacent to the facilities are defined among the important tasks of our time, the Hero-Arkadag drew the attention of the responsible officials to the need to actively involve young people in this work, which will help increase the younger generation’s love of work and of the generous land.

Citing the folk saying «Kimde-kim bir agaç ekse ýadygär,// dünýä kitabynda onuň ady bar», the National Leader of the Turkmen people said that everyone must make their contribution to such a noble cause. As noted, for these purposes special plots of land next to the school and kindergarten are being allocated for the country’s agricultural complex. At the same time, specialists of the complex and scientists of relevant research institutes must, on a scientific basis, carry out work to study and develop the allocated plots for growing shade trees there.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people emphasized that laying paths within the park zone being created here will give children the opportunity to relax in the fresh air. «Many years of experience have proven that clean air and a favorable environment have a positive effect on the development of children’s mental abilities», the Hero-Arkadag said, and in this connection gave valuable advice and instructions.

During the autumn season of the nationwide tree planting, thousands of saplings will be planted on the territory of Arkadag city. The Hero-Arkadag noted that regular care of the plantings must be ensured in accordance with agrotechnical requirements. Along with accelerating the growth of the planted trees, this will contribute to their formation as shade trees.

Proper organization and conduct of such a noble cause as the nationwide tree-planting campaign, and the active participation of people of different age groups in it, will ensure the high effectiveness of this event. Emphasizing that mass planting of saplings, which is of great importance for shaping a favorable climate in this beautiful corner of the country, and ensuring a high level of the environment should be approached comprehensively, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan gave the responsible officials valuable advice.

In addition, noting the presence in Turkmenistan of mountainous terrain, beautiful nature and desert steppes, the Hero-Arkadag stressed that, owing to this distinctive feature and their interconnection, an environment favorable for life is formed.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people drew attention to the need for productive use of the capabilities of the digital system and artificial intelligence for constant monitoring of the work carried out in forest zones and of the growth of shade trees. This will ensure the effectiveness of the relevant scientific work being conducted in this area. Thus, as a result of such noble deeds as planting trees, forest zones will be created for future generations.

In particular, creating green zones and planting a variety of flowers between production complexes and residential buildings is of great importance for shaping a favorable climate here.

The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangrygulу Atahallyyev expressed deep gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the valuable advice on holding the season of nationwide tree planting and on selecting saplings suitable for this corner of the country, as well as for allocating land plots to the agricultural complex. The Deputy Prime Minister also assured that coordinated work of the relevant structures will be established in order to successfully carry out the assigned tasks.

The Hero-Arkadag then held a working meeting with the participation of the Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the city of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan Deryageldi Orazov and the häkim of the city of Arkadag Gulshat Mammedova.

Deryageldi Orazov reported on the work currently under way within the second stage of the development of the city of Arkadag, the state of affairs at the production facilities being built here, and the progress of the modernization of Akhalteke atlary Avenue.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan noted that every effort must be made to ensure a high quality level of the planned construction work within the second stage and to complete the construction of production and residential facilities within the established deadlines. At the same time, the landscaping of the territories adjacent to the buildings should be approached very responsibly and comprehensively.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people went on to give advice on the timely completion of the modernization of Akhalteke atlary Avenue, as well as on its design in accordance with modern requirements and in the established manner. Along with stepping up the pace of the work being carried out, this will ensure that the landscaping of the facilities meets high international standards.

During the working meeting, the häkim of the city of Arkadag Gulshat Mammedova reported on the regular work to ensure the proper sanitary condition and landscaping of the city, as well as on the preparatory measures taken for the organized holding of the upcoming nationwide tree-planting campaign. As noted, the city will take an active part in the celebrations on the occasion of the Harvest Festival, which is widely celebrated in the country.

The Hero-Arkadag noted that establishing sanitation and landscaping work on the city’s territory, along with maintaining a high environmental level here, will have a beneficial effect on the activity and high spirits of the city’s residents. At the same time, special attention should be paid to the organized conduct of the nationwide tree planting, including the active participation of the entire population of the new city in the upcoming event.

A worthy representation of the city of Arkadag at the Harvest Festival, which is of great importance in the life of the country, must also be ensured, which will make a significant contribution by the city of Arkadag to the nationwide celebration.

Noting cleanliness in all corners of the city as a guarantee of the population’s good health and of fostering a sense of patriotism in the younger generation, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that the work must be carried out in the established manner and, wishing everyone success in carrying out the planned events, left the site.
