On June 13, esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting on the digital system with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers A. Yazmyradov, who is in charge of the agro-industrial complex, and hyakims of the velayats, at which the course of seasonal agricultural campaigns, and issues of socio-economic development of the regions, were considered, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, reports were heard on the agro technical activities carried out in the fields of the country, on the large-scale work on harvesting grain without loss, on caring for cotton, on measures taken to obtain a high yield of spring potatoes and vegetable melons, and on the progress of construction of planned facilities for various purposes.
The Deputy Prime Minister reported on the improvement of water supply to agricultural lands, measures for the rational use and minimization of water losses.
Esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of an organized grain harvest campaign, proper storage and processing of the harvested crop in accordance with the requirements, as well as timely payment for the delivered crop.
In order to obtain a rich harvest, it is necessary to increase the pace of work on the care of cotton and other crops, to carry them out in accordance with agro technical standards. At the same time, rice sowing should be carried out in the relevant velayats in compliance with all the rules and deadlines, and preparations for beet sowing should be kept under continuous control, the President of the country emphasized.
An important task of today, the head of state identified ensuring food abundance in the domestic market and ordered to make every effort to obtain a rich harvest of potatoes, fruits and vegetables and melons.
Stressing that among the main requirements of the time are the rational use of water resources, the supply of agricultural land with water, Arkadagly Serdar demanded to analyze these issues from a scientific point of view, taking into account the best practices and capabilities of the digital system, and prepare appropriate proposals.
Noting that the country attaches priority to the harmonious socio-economic development of the regions, the head of state ordered to pay unremitting attention to ensuring the timely commissioning of planned facilities for various purposes.
