President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory message to the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan – to the President Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan, and also to the country’s people on the occasion of the celebration of Pakistan Day, reported “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper.
In the message President Berdimuhamedov highly appreciated the friendly relations between the two states, based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, understanding and trust, and expressed confidence, that cooperation would continue to develop. Also, the head of the state wished the people of Pakistan and their leaders health, happiness, well-being and prosperity.
Since 1956 the Pakistan Day is on March 23 in memory of the adoption of the Lahore Resolution on the separation of the Muslim part of India into a separate state.
