Kazakhstan transport and logistics company KTZ Express, Russian Railways Logistics and Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan signed a memorandum on the establishment of a joint venture for development of transportation, news and information service “Business Turkmenistan” reports with reference to the press service of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy (Kazakhstan Railways).
The joint venture's goal is to establish a single logistics operator on eastern section of the International Transport Corridor North-South.
The memorandum was signed by Director General of KTZ Express Kairat Utyapov, Director General of Russian Railways Logistics Dmitry Murev and Director General of Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan Merdan Bashimov at the 27th international exhibition of transport and logistics services TransRussia 2023.
During the meeting, the parties agreed to combine their competencies to form competitive tariff rates and "seamless" transport of goods from Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan to Iran, India, the Middle East and the Asia-Pacific region via border crossings Aksarayskaya, Ozinki (Russia), Bolashak (Kazakhstan), Inche-Burun (Iran), Sarahs (Turkmenistan) and in the opposite direction.
