On Thursday, representatives of the customs service of Turkmenistan took part in an expert online meeting of the customs services of Central Asia and China. The purpose of the event is to prepare for the meeting of the heads of customs services of the format of Central Asia - China, which will be held this month.
The parties discussed the Agenda and Minutes of the upcoming meeting, and also considered a draft document regulating the mechanism for regular meetings of the heads of customs services in the format of Central Asia - China.
The mechanism of such meetings is aimed at promoting security and facilitating trade between the countries, as well as the implementation of the relevant agreements reached during the meetings of the heads of state of Central Asia and China.
The creation of a mechanism for regular meetings of the heads of customs services of this format was initiated earlier by the Chinese side, and this meeting was also organized at the suggestion of the General Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China, according to the website of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan.
