Ashgabat and Bucharest advocate for strengthening constructive cooperation

A meeting between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to the country Ion Naval took place in Ashgabat on February 3.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation. The need to organize contacts at the highest and high levels was noted, both in the format of bilateral visits and within the framework of multilateral platforms.

The parties emphasized the importance of holding political consultations on a regular basis, as well as meetings of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Romanian Commission on Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation and other formats of bilateral interaction.

Following the meeting, the interlocutors confirmed mutual interest in further strengthening traditionally friendly ties and developing fruitful cooperation between Turkmenistan and Romania.
