On 3 February, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of issues related to the further development of Turkmen–Emirati relations in the political-diplomatic and trade-economic fields.
The diplomats noted the effectiveness of cooperation between the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan and the UAE. Mutual support of the two countries within the framework of international and regional organizations was emphasized. In addition, the parties discussed events planned for the current year in the context of expanding bilateral political relations.
