Recently, representatives of the Turkish Embassy in Turkmenistan visited the “Artyk” customs checkpoint, located on the Turkmen-Iranian state border. The guests got acquainted with customs clearance, the use of preliminary information on transit cargo and the work of “green corridors”, reports the customs service of Turkmenistan.
During this visit, members of the delegation had a conversation with representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan. During the conversation, was an exchange of views on the simplification of operations for transit and bilateral international road freight transport from the territory of Turkmenistan, the use of digitization of the TIR Carnet for international road transport, as well as the provision of preliminary information about the cargo.
It was also decided to inform Turkish drivers in Turkmenistan about the positive results of using the benefits created in connection with the transition to a digital system.
