In 2026, a large number of buildings and facilities will be commissioned in Turkmenistan. Among the structures to be completed this year are the new building complexes for the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction and the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi.
Additionally, this year will see the opening of the Mary—Turkmenabat section of the Ashgabat—Turkmenabat high-speed highway, a new modern village in the Gyzylarbat district of the Balkan region, a multidisciplinary power plant in the Gyzylarbat district, and a complex of residential houses and buildings in the Guvlymayak settlement of the Turkmenbashy district.
In the capital, Ashgabat, the International Pediatric Center, the International Scientific and Clinical Oncology Center, and a new Dental Center will be commissioned. Furthermore, a new 400-bed facility at the "Archman" sanatorium will begin serving citizens.
To improve the living conditions of the population, significant funds will be allocated this year for the construction of roads, communication systems, water, gas, and electricity supply networks, as well as water and sewage treatment facilities. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted this during the expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers held on February 13.
The Head of State announced that several international events will be held in the country to mark the year " Independent neutral Turkmenistan − the homeland of purposeful winged horses." He noted that he signed a decree to establish a state organizing committee to ensure the high-level execution of the year's planned activities, emphasizing the importance of thorough preparation.
"As you can see, our program for this year encompasses a great deal of work. Our primary goal is the further prosperity of our Motherland," the President stated, expressing firm confidence that through diligent labor alongside the people, the targets and goals set for 2026 will be achieved.
