Event dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence held in Bishkek

On February 20, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Kyrgyz Republic held a lecture at Kyrgyz National University named after J. Balasagyn in honor of the proclamation of 2026 under the motto “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses” as well as to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence.

Participants were provided with detailed information on the consistent implementation of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy course, based on the principles of permanent neutrality, peacefulness, good-neighborliness, and mutually beneficial cooperation.

It was noted that in 2026 Turkmenistan also celebrates the 35th anniversary of its state independence — a significant milestone in the country’s modern development. The impressive achievements attained under the leadership of the Head of State in the political, economic, cultural, and social spheres were highlighted.

Special attention was given to the book by the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, entitled “The Neutrality of Turkmenistan: a Bright Path of Peace and Trust” which reveals the philosophy of Turkmen neutrality as a key factor in ensuring sustainable peace and trust.
