The editorial office of the newspaper Ashgabat Newspaper, together with the Ashgabat City Committee of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, has announced a creative contest for the best articles and poems entitled “Bitaraplyk — ýollarymyzyň şuglasy.” The contest is being held on the occasion of proclaiming 2026 as the Year of “Independent, Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan – the homeland of purposeful winged horses" as well as in honor of the 31st anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality.
Citizens of Turkmenistan, regardless of age, as well as figures of art, may participate in the contest. Articles and poems that have not previously been published in other editions are accepted. Their length must not exceed three pages. The submitted works should artistically and substantively reveal the significance of the actions undertaken by Turkmenistan in promoting peace on Earth. Entries must be submitted to the editorial office of the Ashgabat Newspaper by November 30 of the current year.
The best articles and poems submitted to the contest will be published in the Ashgabat Newspaper and selected by a specially established jury.
The results of the contest will be announced in the first ten days of December, on the eve of the celebration of the 31st anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. Active participants and authors of distinguished works will be awarded certificates of honor and commemorative gifts.
