Turkmenistan addressed the meeting of foreign ministers of Central Asian countries and the United Kingdom
The foreign ministers of Central Asian countries and the United Kingdom held the first meeting in the "Central Asia – United Kingdom" format, during which they discussed prospects for deepening political dialogue, trade, economic, and investment cooperation. Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov expressed gratitude to the British side for the initiative to hold the meeting, noting its timeliness in the context of strengthening regional consolidation. The parties outlined priority areas of cooperation with the United Kingdom: energy and decarbonization, including modernization of the oil and gas industry and the development of renewable energy; financial and trade technologies, leveraging London's experience as one of the world's leading financial centers. Meredov confirmed Turkmenistan's readiness for active cooperation both within the new format and on a bilateral basis.
