The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the United Arab Emirates, Bayram Bayramov, met with the Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), Francesco La Camera, in Abu Dhabi. During the meeting, the Turkmen diplomat presented his credentials to the Director-General of IRENA as the Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to this international organization.
During the official reception following the ceremony, the Turkmen diplomat conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of Turkmenistan to the head of the agency.
The Director-General of IRENA congratulated the diplomat on his appointment to the responsible post and announced the agency's readiness to further deepen multilateral cooperation with Turkmenistan.
The parties held a comprehensive exchange of views on the current state and priority areas of strategic partnership. In this regard, special attention was paid to the practical implementation of joint initiatives in the production of "green" hydrogen and the introduction of advanced renewable energy technologies.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their commitment to continuing a long-term dialogue aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ensuring global environmental stability.
