President of Turkmenistan held a meeting on the development of the agro-industrial complex in the regions
On March 2, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Tangryguly Atahallyyev and regional governors to discuss progress in the country's agro-industrial complex and its regions. The governors of the Ahal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap, and Mary regions reported on seasonal agricultural activities in the regions. As reported, mineral fertilizers and vegetation irrigation are being applied to wheat fields. In addition, land leveling and harrowing are being carried out in agricultural areas as part of the upcoming cotton sowing season. The regions are also taking the necessary measures to complete the sowing of spring potatoes, vegetables, and melons on schedule. Furthermore, the hakims reported on preparations for the celebratory events marking International Women's Day, as well as on the implementation of work planned in accordance with the country's socio-economic development programs. After hearing the reports, the head of state emphasized the importance of ongoing agricultural work. In this regard, he instructed the country's regions to properly conduct the upcoming cotton sowing campaign, take measures to ensure a timely and full supply of high-quality seeds to cotton producers, prepare agricultural machinery and equipment for the spring sowing campaign, and continue wheat cultivation. Furthermore, the head of state noted the importance of organizing the planned regional celebrations for International Women's Day at a high level and gave corresponding instructions.
