Turkmenistan Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, during which the parties discussed the current situation in the Middle East.
It was emphasized that all complex international issues should be resolved only through peaceful, political, and diplomatic means and methods based on international law.
Furthermore, in the context of the recent airstrikes against Azerbaijan, the inadmissibility of violating the fundamental principle of the UN Charter, respect for the sovereignty of states, was emphasized.
The foreign ministers exchanged views on specific humanitarian issues related to the situation in the region.
