Turkmenistan and Georgia discussed expanding trade and economic cooperation
Turkmenistan and Georgia aim to expand cooperation in the trade and economic sphere. This issue was considered on March 30 during a meeting in Tbilisi between the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Nokerguly Atagulyyev, and the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, Ms. Mariam Kvrivishvili, as part of the official visit of the Turkmen delegation. During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and promising opportunities of bilateral economic relations. The interlocutors paid special attention to the issues of expanding trade and economic cooperation, encouraging mutual investments, and implementing joint projects in priority areas. The parties expressed interest in developing cooperation in the fields of energy, transport, digital economy, and innovation, noting the importance of creating favorable conditions for establishing direct contacts between the business communities of Turkmenistan and Georgia. The role of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Georgian Commission on Economic Cooperation was also specifically highlighted.
