The first "Central Asia – European Union" Inter-parliamentary Forum was held on March 30–31 in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan took an active part in the event. The forum sessions covered the following topics: "Current state of the Central Asia – European Union political dialogue and the role of parliaments in developing cooperation," "Economic connectivity of the region, sustainable development and 'green' transformation," and "Rule of law, digital transformation and inclusive governance." Active in the sessions across these areas, Turkmen parliamentarians highlighted the programs and projects successfully implemented in our country within this cooperation format. These initiatives focus on ensuring peace, security, and environmental well-being, strengthening the legal frameworks for cooperation, creating and expanding transport corridors, implementing investment projects, achieving accessibility to energy resources, and enhancing activities in fields such as science, education, and tourism.
