Between April 1 and 3, the international electric power forum "Energoprom-2026" was held in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russian Federation. A delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Minister of Energy Annageldi Saparov, actively participated in the event. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The forum was held at the "Kazan EXPO" international exhibition center. Organized with the participation of state and public figures from the Russian Federation and foreign countries, energy ministers of CIS member states, representatives of relevant ministries and sectoral agencies, heads of major energy companies, and leading equipment manufacturers, the forum featured a specialized electric power exhibition where over 100 companies presented modern technological solutions, including gas turbines and new electrical equipment.
Participants of the international event paid special attention to developing joint projects, exchanging expertise and technologies, as well as creating an energy space that promotes industry stability and strengthens economic ties.
Within the framework of the forum, a regular meeting of the CIS Electric Power Council was held. During the meeting, issues of integrating energy systems, developing the fuel and energy complex, digitalization, and increasing the reliability of energy infrastructure were considered.
Minister of Energy of Turkmenistan Annageldi Saparov held a meeting with the Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Sergey Tsivilev on the sidelines of the forum. During the meeting, the prospects of the Turkmen-Russian energy dialogue were discussed. In particular, the sides reviewed possibilities for implementing joint projects to modernize energy infrastructure, increase the reliability of power systems, and introduce advanced technologies, including renewable energy sources.
