A large-scale sports event dedicated to World Health Day was held at the Olympic Village in Ashgabat. The event was organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Representation in Turkmenistan in cooperation with the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports. This was reported by the International Information Center of Turkmenistan.

The program was conducted in a dynamic format and included four main sessions running simultaneously across various thematic areas. While two groups of youth participated in educational sessions on gender equality, other participants took part in masterclasses on self-defense and gymnastics. Specifically, girls practiced kickboxing and taekwondo techniques, while boys engaged in stretching and gymnastics exercises.

This comprehensive approach helped reinforce the principles of mutual respect through physical activity, allowing participants to go beyond traditional gender roles and experience firsthand that sports are a space of equal opportunities, free from stereotypes.
