Turkmenistan and Japan plan events honoring Akhal-Teke Horses

At the initiative of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Japan, a meeting was held on April 5, 2026, with the participation of the General Director of the Japanese business entity Akhal-teke Affinity Co. LTD and member of the International Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding Association M. Aoe, as well as the founder of the New Zealand company Krukziener Properties, A. Krukziener, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss opportunities for organizing joint events aimed at promoting the fame of Akhal-Teke horses worldwide, as well as avenues for future cooperation.

During the meeting, information was presented about the activities of the New Zealand company Krukziener Properties in horse breeding, particularly in the breeding of purebred Akhal-Teke horses. Special attention was given to the organization of possible visits by Turkmen delegations to the company’s horse-breeding complex.

Representatives of the Japanese and New Zealand sides were invited to participate in the National Turkmen Horse Festival, traditionally held on the last Sunday of April.
