At a visiting meeting held on April 10 under the leadership of Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov, important issues of the socio-economic development of the country and the Lebap region were reviewed. During the meeting, tasks related to various areas of state life and new legislative initiatives were discussed. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."
Speaker of the Mejlis Dunyagozel Gulmanova provided information on the work being carried out to improve national legislation. Currently, the parliament is preparing for its twelfth session, where amendments and additions to several draft laws regarding administrative offenses, industrial safety, accounting, fishing, and the migration system are expected to be introduced.
To develop inter-parliamentary relations and exchange experience, deputies participated in the first "Central Asia — European Union" inter-parliamentary forum held in Uzbekistan. Additionally, an international conference on the role and rights of women in society was organized at the Mejlis, and special training sessions were held for students of the Academy of Civil Service.
Deputies elected from the regions are actively involved in studying the living conditions of the population on the ground and reviewing citizens' appeals.
After hearing the report, the honorable President emphasized that new legislative acts must meet the requirements of the times and instructed that work in this direction be continued consistently.
