The overall growth rate of work performed in the transport and communications complex of Turkmenistan reached 114.1%. This was reported on the website of the "Balkan" shipbuilding and repairing yard of the State Service of Maritime and River Transport of Turkmenistan.

As noted in the report, the main indicator of activity was related to road transport. In this regard, the volume of services increased by 25% at once. Such high growth, alongside the stable development of other sectors (aviation — 17.4%, railway — 6.9%), demonstrates high rates in domestic trade and small entrepreneurship, as road transport plays a crucial role in these areas.

"Now the complex faces the task of utilizing the transit potential of the Turkmenbashi port at full capacity," the report states.
