On April 11, the twelfth session of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the seventh convocation was held. During the session, a number of draft laws aimed at modernizing the country’s legal framework and ensuring its intensive socio-economic development were considered and adopted. This was reported by the online newspaper “Turkmenistan: Golden age”.
Among the first items submitted for consideration was the draft Resolution of the Mejlis “On the Recognition of the Powers of Deputies of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Elected in Certain Electoral Districts.”
The deputies then reviewed the draft Law of Turkmenistan “On Amendments and Additions to the Code of Turkmenistan on Administrative Offenses.”
They also discussed the draft Law “On Amendments and an Addition to the Law of Turkmenistan ‘On Fisheries and the Conservation of Aquatic Biological Resources.’”
In addition, the session considered the draft Law “On Amendments and an Addition to the Law of Turkmenistan ‘On Migration.’” The draft modernizes provisions related to the registration, extension of registration periods, and deregistration of foreign citizens and stateless persons. Under the new provisions, these procedures will be carried out electronically within the information system of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan.
All draft laws and resolutions submitted to the regular session of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the seventh convocation were unanimously approved and adopted.
