On April 14, the international tourism exhibition and conference titled "Turkmentravel — 2026" was solemnly opened in Ashgabat. On the occasion of the opening of this forum, held at the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent a congratulatory Message to the participants and guests. In his Message, the Head of State expressed great confidence that this international forum would be an event of significant importance in the tourism industry. It was noted that the cooperation established with the UN World Tourism Organization and other prestigious international organizations opens new opportunities for the development of the sector in our country.

As the President emphasized, Turkmenistan's rich cultural heritage and natural wonders enjoy great popularity in world tourism. Reserves such as "Ancient Merv," "Nisa," and "Kunya-Urgench," which are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, as well as the newly created city of Arkadag and the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone, demonstrate the country's vast potential.

The international exhibition and conference will be of great importance in promoting the country's historical and cultural monuments and attracting foreign tourists. At the conclusion of his message, the Distinguished President wished prosperity and great success to the forum's work and its participants.
