Representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Participated in a Regional Interparliamentary Dialogue in Tashkent

Representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan participated in an international conference held in Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan, on April 9-10. The event was organized as the third regional interparliamentary dialogue on developing a circular economy within the framework of the European Union's "SWITCH-Asia" Program. This was reported by the press service of the legislative body of Turkmenistan.

At the opening of the interparliamentary dialogue, participants emphasized that this international platform is of great importance for sustainable development and the interests of humanity. As part of the event, practical production training on circular economy was organized at leading enterprises in the city of Tashkent.

Speaking at the conference, the representative of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan provided detailed information on the country's experience in implementing "green economy" principles. Furthermore, priority areas of state policy aimed at strengthening environmental well-being, reducing waste, and attracting investments and innovative technologies into the economy were highlighted.

During the session titled "National Progress on Circular Economy in Central Asia," representatives from Central Asian countries exchanged experiences on the successes achieved in transitioning to a circular economy and discussed future strategic plans.
