A delegation led by the Rector of the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, Tang Zhishu, visited the city of Arkadag on April 15. As part of the visit, the guests visited the headquarters of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship and met with the Vice-President of the Foundation, Oguljahan Atabayeva. This was reported by the "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" electronic newspaper.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of developing cooperation in the fields of healthcare, humanitarian aid, and traditional medicine. O. Atabayeva noted the historical significance of the new Memorandum signed between the medical universities of the two countries and highlighted the interest in studying Chinese experience in restoring children's health.

The Chinese specialists highly praised the noble work carried out by the Foundation, particularly the social and medical assistance provided to ill children over the past five years. The guests were provided with detailed information about the modern conditions and treatment methods created at the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Children's Rehabilitation Center.

During the visit program, the delegation members visited the Gorogly State Equestrian Circus of Arkadag city, where they learned about the features of hippotherapy (treatment with horses). A special performance by the "Galkynysh" national equestrian games group was also organized for the guests.

At the conclusion of the talks, the head of the Chinese delegation confirmed the readiness to further deepen relations with Turkmenistan in the medical sector and expressed gratitude to the country's leadership for the hospitality.
