A ceremonial opening of the UNESCO Chair “Digital Science” was held at the International Scientific and Technological Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan. This was reported by the newspaper «Нейтральный Туркменистан».

Nikolay Nikolayev, Senior Researcher at the GIS Laboratory of the International Scientific and Technological Park, has been appointed as the head of the new chair.

The priority areas of the chair’s work include projects in artificial intelligence, big data analysis, as well as the application of geospatial technologies and satellite monitoring systems in natural resource management and the development of the agro-industrial complex.
