Diplomats of Turkmenistan and Egypt Discussed new opportunities for cooperation

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Serdar Muhammetdurdyyev held a meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to our country (with residence in Moscow), Hamdy Shaaban Abdelhalim Mohamed. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

As noted, during the meeting held on April 28, the Ambassador presented copies of his credentials.

During the meeting, the Ambassador was congratulated on his appointment to the responsible post, and it was noted that he would be provided with necessary support in carrying out his diplomatic activities.

The diplomat, in turn, emphasized his readiness to make every effort to develop Turkmen-Egyptian cooperation and strengthen relations between the foreign policy agencies of the two countries.

The parties discussed the current state and development prospects of bilateral cooperation in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian fields. In this regard, views were exchanged on issues of expanding the legal and contractual framework of cooperation between the two countries.

The diplomats also discussed views on issues of the international and regional agenda of mutual interest.

The parties agreed to continue political consultations between the foreign policy agencies, hold meetings of the Joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Egyptian Commission on Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation, organize Culture Days of the two countries in Ashgabat and Cairo, and expand cooperation in the fields of healthcare, education, and tourism.
