On April 27–28, 2026, a meeting of senior officials of the ministries of foreign affairs of the participating countries of the «Central Asia–China» format was held in Xi’an, China. A delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the meeting. This was reported by the press service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The participants summarized the results of joint work for 2025, analyzing the implementation of previously reached agreements and signed documents.
The delegates discussed drafts of the concept for establishing an interregional council on investment and trade, the program of a new economic partnership, as well as a plan for «green» development until 2030. Progress was also noted in coordinating the project to create a unified digital platform «Cultural Heritage of the Silk Road» aimed at strengthening cultural and civilizational ties in the region, among others.
The draft of a unified emblem for the «Central Asia–China» format was also reviewed.
Turkmenistan, adhering to the principles of equal and mutually beneficial partnership, reaffirmed its readiness for further active cooperation within the format in order to ensure sustainable development, peace, and security in the region.
