A meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Secretary General of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TÜRKSOY), Sultan Raev. This was reported on the website of the country's foreign policy department.

As noted, during the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on April 30, the parties discussed important issues of Turkmenistan's mutual cooperation with TÜRKSOY, specifically the implementation of the joint action plan for the year 2026.

During the conversation, it was reaffirmed that cooperation and joint initiatives to promote cultural and humanitarian dialogue contribute to strengthening peace and mutual understanding not only among the peoples of TÜRKSOY member countries but also with other states.

In the course of the talks, issues regarding preparations for joint events were reviewed, and views were exchanged on efforts aimed at improving the activities of TÜRKSOY.

Sultan Raev expressed his gratitude to the Turkmen side for the invitation to participate in the celebrations planned to be held in Turkmenistan this year, including the festivities for the 35th anniversary of the country's Independence.

At the meeting, Turkmenistan's readiness for further cooperation with TÜRKSOY was reaffirmed.
