The Ministry of Communications of Turkmenistan held a series of meetings with representatives of leading Chinese companies operating in the fields of technology and telecommunications. The talks were attended by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Annayev and Minister of Communications Hajymyrat Hudaygulyyev, according to the ministry’s press service.
During the meetings, the parties explored prospects for expanding Turkmen-Chinese cooperation in high technologies. They discussed the possibility of implementing joint projects, including the establishment of research centers in the field of artificial intelligence, the introduction of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and “smart city” concepts, as well as the development of neural network and quantum technologies.
Minister Hudaygulyyev emphasized that artificial intelligence is a strategic priority for Turkmenistan at the infrastructure level and is viewed as a key tool for enhancing the efficiency of public administration, as well as for advancing healthcare, education, and other sectors of the economy. According to him, the combination of China’s advanced experience and Turkmenistan’s strategic development priorities opens broad opportunities for partnership.
