A number of draft laws adopted in Turkmenistan in January–April

Chairwoman of Mejlis of Turkmenistan, Dunyagozel Gulmanova, informed about the results of activities for January–April 2026 at a government meeting held on May 1. This was reported by online newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden age».

As reported, during the period under review, within the framework of modernizing the current legislation, a number of laws of Turkmenistan were adopted. These laws are related to the protection of citizens’ rights and legitimate interests, ensuring industrial safety at production facilities, improving accounting and financial reporting, licensing certain types of activities, automobile roads and road operations, environmental protection, conservation of aquatic biological resources, and increasing the effectiveness of migration policy.

In addition, credentials were accepted from the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of the Republic of Chad, the Republic of Indonesia, the Argentine Republic, and the Arab Republic of Egypt to Turkmenistan.

During the reporting period, 13 meetings were held with representatives of parliaments of various countries and diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, during which priorities of bilateral cooperation were discussed.

Summarizing the information, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to modernize legislation aimed at the country’s further development and the successful implementation of adopted programs.
