Turkmenistan and the United States: new horizons for multifaceted cooperation

On May 1, 2026, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the United States Esen Aydogdyev met with Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Paul Kapur at the U.S. Department of State. This was reported by the press service of the Turkmen Embassy in the United States.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues. They noted with satisfaction the positive dynamics of Turkmen-American relations and emphasized the importance of maintaining regular dialogue and further expanding cooperation in key areas.

Particular attention was paid to strengthening political and diplomatic ties, developing mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, and expanding regional connectivity.
