Turkmenistan celebrated the 27th TURKSOY Opera Days

On May 3, a gala concert was held at the Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan to mark the 27th Opera Days of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY). Performers included operatic artists from Turkmenistan, the Republic of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan, according to the This online newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden age».

The celebration began with Veli Mukhadov's «Türkmenistan bagy-bossan» («Turkmenistan – Blooming Garden»), performed by the State Symphony Orchestra and the State Choir of Turkmenistan. This inspiring musical composition, which reflected the grandeur of our prosperous homeland, the beauty of its nature, and the prosperous life of its people, evoked a feeling of profound spiritual uplift in the audience.

The concert program featured masterpieces of world and Turkic opera classics. Masters of the stage and outstanding contemporary artists performed excerpts from national operas in Turkmen, Uzbek, Kyrgyz, Azerbaijani, Kazakh, and Turkish, as well as celebrated arias from works such as «Romeo and Juliet," «Pagliacci», «The Force of Destiny», «Il Trovatore» «Carmen» «Faust», «Andrea Chénier», and «Granada», all of which have become treasures of the global musical treasury, in Italian, French, German, and Spanish.

The concert concluded with a joint performance by all participants of the celebrated work "Funiculi, Funiculi," a majestic hymn to peace, unity, and the unbreakable bonds of friendship.
