An award ceremony for the winners of creative contests announced in honor of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s Independence was held at Museum of Magtymguly Fragi in Magtymguly etrap of Balkan velayat. This was reported by online newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden age».

Participants who arrived at the event enjoyed performances by musical, dance and folklore groups, as well as theatrical productions staged by drama theatre of the velayat.

The event was organized by a Central Council of Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly jointly with a Central Council of the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and the editorial offices of newspapers and magazines.

After laying flowers at the foot of the monument to the great Eastern thinker and classical poet Magtymguly Fragi, guests viewed an exhibition of decorative and applied arts displayed in the museum foyer.

The main part of the ceremony took place in the museum’s conference hall. The winners of the contests were awarded certificates of honor and valuable gifts.

At the end of the ceremony, participants visited the poet’s native village — Gerkez.
