At the UN Forum, Turkmenistan presented its position on migration

Chairman of State Migration Service of Turkmenistan, Amanmuhammet Sazakov, represented the country at the Second International Migration Review Forum held under the auspices of the UN General Assembly from May 5 to 8 at the UN Headquarters in New York. This was reported by press service of Permanent Mission of Turkmenistan to the UN.

The Turkmen side confirmed its unwavering commitment to the principles of multilateral cooperation, international solidarity, and humanism, consistently implemented by the country’s leadership.

It was particularly emphasized that Turkmenistan is steadily implementing the provisions of the Global Compact for Migration by integrating its objectives into national plans, legislation, and sustainable development programs. In this context, special attention was given to the ongoing work in the country to improve the system of identification documents.

The initiative of President of Turkmenistan to establish a Global Platform for Digital Integration based on the principles of equality and trust was also highlighted.

The Turkmen side reaffirmed its readiness to further strengthen international cooperation in the field of migration.
