Turkmenistan widely marked the 81st Anniversary of a Victory

On May 9, Turkmenistan marked the 81st anniversary of a Victory in a Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. To commemorate this significant date, a flower-laying ceremony was held at the monuments of «Halk hakydasy» memorial complex in Ashgabat. This was reported by an online newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden age».

A State Anthem of Turkmenistan was performed by the military orchestra of the country’s Armed Forces. Wreaths were laid at the monuments «Ruhy tagzym», «Milletiň ogullary», «Baky şöhrat» on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Afterwards, all participants of the ceremony laid flowers at the foot of the monuments with a deep sense of respect.

In addition, on this day, in honor of the 81st anniversary of a Great Victory, flower-laying ceremonies were held across the country at monuments erected in memory of national heroes who fell on the battlefields of the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945. Performances by creative groups took place at concert venues in all velayat and etrap centers. Cultural events dedicated to the Victory Day further strengthened the pride of citizens in their independent and neutral Motherland.
