Turkmenistan and Malaysia develop cooperation in the oil and gas sector

On May 11, Honorable President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Tan Sri Mohd Hassan Marican, Chairman of the Appointment Consultative Committee to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, and the leadership of the "PETRONAS" company. During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of political-diplomatic and trade-economic relations between the two countries. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."

The guests conveyed warm greetings from the Supreme Head and the Prime Minister of Malaysia to the Head of State, emphasizing the great importance attached to developing cooperation with Turkmenistan. The Malaysian partners expressed gratitude for the conditions created for the activities of "PETRONAS" in our country.

During the talks, special attention was paid to the 30-year experience of cooperation in the oil and gas sector. The Honorable President highly praised the work performed by "PETRONAS" in the extraction of hydrocarbon resources and the training of high-quality specialists. It was noted that new documents are expected to be signed between the "Türkmennebit" State Concern and the Malaysian company during the visit.

The Head of State confirmed Turkmenistan's readiness to continue mutually beneficial relations with Malaysia. At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed confidence that friendly relations would continue to prosper for the benefit of both nations.
