On 11 May 2026, anAmbassador of Turkmenistan to Pakistan, Atajan Movlamov, met with a Federal Minister for Commerce of Pakistan, Jam Kamal Khan, to discuss the current state of bilateral relations and to explore new avenues of cooperation between the two countries. This was reported by a press service of a Turkmen Embassy in Pakistan.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the growing importance of regional trade corridors, logistics connectivity, and the strengthening of trade relations between Pakistan and Central Asian countries. The discussions focused on expanding trade routes, ensuring the uninterrupted movement of goods, and enhancing direct interaction between the business communities of both countries.
The two sides also expressed interest in deepening cooperation in the energy sector, promoting infrastructure projects, and continuing engagement through business forums, trade exhibitions, and chambers of commerce.
