On May 13, 2026, a Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Mahri Bashimova met with a Director of the Secretariat of the Information and Analytical College of Europe, Yasmin Gueddar, according to a press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the sides assessed the current level of dialogue between European and Central Asian countries in general, and with Turkmenistan in particular.
Gueddar spoke about her projects aimed at strengthening humanitarian ties between Europe and Central Asia. Interest was expressed in delivering lectures and seminars for representatives of relevant higher education institutions and organizations of Turkmenistan in the fields of preventive diplomacy, polemology, and political analysis.
Yasmin Gueddar also held a meeting with experts and researchers from the Center for Strategic Studies of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The topics discussed during the talks mainly concerned issues of the Central Asian region. This is understandable, as new integration platforms in Central Asia, especially transport and logistics as well as cross-border economic projects related to energy resources, are currently of great interest and are in the focus of many leading European analysts and EU experts.
