Representatives of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United States visited the exhibition «Adorning the Horse: Equestrian Textiles as Symbols of Power and Prestige» and the screening of the documentary film «Atlan», organized by the George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum. This was reported by a press service of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the United States.

The exhibition features samples of equestrian textiles reflecting the historical and cultural significance of the horse in the traditions of various peoples. Turkmen exhibits occupied a special place in the display, demonstrating rich artistic traditions and the deep connection of the Turkmen people with equestrian culture.

Following the visit, representatives of the Embassy held a meeting with the organizers of the event, during which the sides exchanged views on the importance of preserving and promoting equestrian heritage.

The George Washington University Museum and The Textile Museum also published a thematic exhibition catalogue presenting the traditions of equestrian textiles of various peoples, including Turkmen examples.
