On May 14, 2026, Turkmenistan's Ambassador to the Republic of Türkiýe, Mekan Ishangulyyev, met with representatives of a «Turkmenistan-Republic of Türkiýe» Business Council under the Turkish Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), led by Sefa Gomdeniz, Chairman of the Turkish Section of the Business Council. This was reported by a press service of a Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects for developing Turkmen-Turkish trade and economic cooperation, as well as issues of expanding partnership between the business communities of the two countries.

Expressing the Turkish business community's keen interest in establishing closer contacts with partners from Turkmenistan and consistently expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, Sefa Gomdeniz thanked the Turkmen side for the assistance and comprehensive support provided to Turkish companies operating in Turkmenistan.

The parties also emphasized the importance of further developing constructive dialogue between representatives of the public and private sectors of the two countries, and expressed confidence in the successful continuation of joint work on the implementation of promising bilateral projects.
