On May 14, 2026, a Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov met with an Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus (with residence in Moscow) Kypros Yorgallis in Ashgabat. This was reported by a press service of a Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the conversation, the parties noted the potential for further development and strengthening of bilateral ties in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
Particular attention was paid to interagency contacts, which provide additional impetus to Turkmen-Cypriot cooperation. It was emphasized that Turkmenistan and the Republic of Cyprus successfully cooperate internationally within international organizations.
At the end of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to further develop the mutually beneficial bilateral partnership between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Cyprus.
