On May 14, 2026, the grand opening of the 22nd International Youth Cultural Festival, under the motto «Lead the Tide, Embrace the World», took place in Chengxin Square at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) in Beijing. With the support of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in China, Turkmen students actively participated in the forum, effectively representing their national culture and traditions at this prestigious international venue. This was reported by a press service of a Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
A national pavilion of Turkmenistan was unveiled as part of the large-scale forum, which brought together representatives from over 100 countries. The exhibit, prepared by Turkmen students, became a vivid embodiment of the open-door policy and cultural dialogue. Numerous foreign diplomats, representatives of public organizations, and the international student community visited the pavilion.
Festival guests focused particularly on the creative portion of the program. Turkmen students presented eloquent performances, showcasing their nation's rich cultural heritage. A pavilion hosted a presentation of the country's achievements and national cuisine, allowing guests to experience Turkmen hospitality.
The day before, a Symposium on High-Quality Development of Higher Energy Education within the Framework of the «Belt and Road» Initiative was held in the conference hall of the China University of Petroleum. Turkmen students also participated in this event, delivering presentations.
