Legislation in the publishing sector is being modernized in Turkmenistan

A Deputy Prime Minister Bahar Seyidova reported on May 15 at a government meeting on the measures being implemented to improve the activities of the publishing sector. This was reported by an online newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden Age».

As reported, newspapers and magazines currently published in the country by the State Publishing Service of Turkmenistan are delivered to the population in electronic format. In this regard, there is a need to modernize the existing legislation in this field. In particular, it is planned to introduce timely amendments aimed at further improving and regulating activities related to state policy and state support in publishing, as well as state orders.
