At the 82nd plenary meeting of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Resolution entitled "The Role and Significance of the Policy of Neutrality in Maintaining and Strengthening International Peace, Security, and Sustainable Development," drafted based on the initiative of Turkmenistan, was unanimously adopted with the co-sponsorship of 47 world states. On the occasion of this auspicious event, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, sent a congratulatory letter to President Serdar Berdimuhamedow on behalf of the entire Turkmen people and the Halk Maslahaty. This was reported by the electronic newspaper "Turkmenistan: Golden Age."

As noted in the congratulatory message of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, this historic event is a clear proof of the ever-growing international prestige worldwide of Turkmenistan, which is the first and only state whose permanent neutrality status has already been recognized three times by the UN (in 1995, 2015, and 2025). The newly adopted document once again confirmed the importance of the international initiatives put forward by the country in various years and the interregional events it has hosted.

In his congratulations, Hero Arkadag emphasized that the positive neutrality policy pursued by Turkmenistan is a highly crucial tool in ensuring peace, achieving sustainable development, and shaping a culture of mutual trust and dialogue. The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan also wished the Head of State robust health, long life, and new successes in his noble foreign policy endeavors.
