A meeting took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on May 25, 2026, between Deputy Foreign Minister Mekhri Byashimova and Erfan Ali, who arrived in Ashgabat to participate in the 25th Multi-Profile International Exhibition and Conference “White City Ashgabat.” This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The sides exchanged views on the implementation of previously reached agreements and the further strengthening of partnership. The Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Government of Turkmenistan and UN-Habitat was noted as having created a legal framework for the further expansion of cooperation.

During the meeting, the Turkmen side emphasized the importance of preparing and presenting the draft Country Programme for Cooperation for 2026–2030, which is intended to define the key areas of interaction. The parties also discussed the organization of further consultations and exchanged views on expanding practical cooperation.
