On June 1, celebrations marking an International Children's Day were held in Ashgabat. Filled with joy, entertainment, songs, and music, the events organized at the capital’s cultural and entertainment center «Aşgabat» gave children unforgettable moments that will remain in their hearts for years to come. This was reported by an online newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden age».

Speakers congratulated those gathered on the International Children's Day and emphasized that in Turkmenistan, thanks to the constant care of the National Leader of the Turkmen People and the Head of State, children are surrounded by great love and attention.

The ceremony then featured an address by the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan, Dmitry Shlapachenko, who expressed gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan for the opportunity to participate in the well-organized celebration.

UNICEF Representative in Turkmenistan Jalpa Ratna. Congratulating the participants on International Children's Day, she noted that this occasion is always celebrated on a large scale at the state level in Turkmenistan.

Following the official part of the event, children performed poems in Turkmen, English, and Russian. Choreographic performances by the children's dance ensemble of the Children's Health and Rehabilitation Centre named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov were also presented.
