A State Russian Drama Theater named after A.S. Pushkin took part in the 26th International Theatre Festival «Melikhovo Spring», which was held from May 22 to 31, 2026. This was reported by the electronic newspaper «Turkmenistan: Golden age».

The creative team of the Turkmen theater presented the production Chekhov’s Vaudevilles, staged by a young director B. Garajayev. The performance was based on vaudeville plays by the renowned Russian writer, seamlessly evolving into profound psychological reflections that contribute positively to the patriotic, spiritual, and moral education of young people.

The production, performed in Russian by Turkmen stage artists, received a warm welcome from the audience. The director’s artistic approach and stagecraft were highly praised.

As a result of the festival, the creative team of the State Russian Drama Theater named after A.S. Pushkin was awarded the Cup of the International Theatre Festival.
