Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan discuss strengthening inter-parliamentary dialogue

On June 1, 2026, an Ambassador of Turkmenistan Nury Golliyev met with Marat Mamataliyev, a Chairman of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic. This was reported by a press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting, it was noted that cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan is developing dynamically across a wide range of areas, including inter-parliamentary relations, trade and economic cooperation, as well as cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

Particular attention was paid to strengthening inter-parliamentary dialogue as an important instrument for further deepening bilateral ties. In this regard, the participants emphasized the importance of enhancing the activities of parliamentary friendship groups, which contribute to expanding constructive cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries.

The discussion also covered the organization of mutual visits and the maintenance of contacts at various levels, as well as the participation of representatives of both countries in international and inter-parliamentary events.
